OPEN STUDIO SESSION Creative Beast: Painting Beyond Thought.

Last OPEN STUDIO SESSION of the Year.

There are two and a half hours for your full expression on

Thursday, Nov. 21st.

I'll be painting from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. PST, and I invite you to come along!

This class offers a specially discounted open studio rate.!

This studio session is open to everyone to express themselves with paint. We don't have to paint "pretty,"  but keep the brush moving. We'll do warm-up exercises to move our hands faster and feel the connection to the pen, brush, and paper.

Then, the rest of the time, we paint with this connection, going beyond our thoughts. Instead of focusing on the results, we follow our instincts.

Please bring your paints, pencils, ink pens, brushes, paper, or any other surface you want to paint on.

I'll email a Zoom link the day before the session.

Something happens when I paint fast: I make quick decisions, let the brush move faster than I think, and allow my feelings to extend through my brush onto the paper. I am not attached to the results but truly express myself with the paint.

During times when I paint like that, something else comes through. It feels like it opens the door to the deeper part of myself that can reveal the past, future, or perhaps dreams. It can be a journey to our subconscious mind and collective consciousness. And again, knowing this, I have to let go of expectations of the results and enjoy the process.
